Dental Fillings

Fillings repair a cavity of tooth damage (e.g. crack). These are designed to withstand moderate pressure from chewing. Tooth-colored fillings are more esthetically-pleasing and can be used for front and back teeth.

Dental Crowns

Crowns are caps that cover severely broken down or structurally weakened teeth to restore their function and appearance. Crowns can be a part of a bridge, cover dental implants or prevent cracked teeth from worsening.

Root Canals

Root canal procedure is when diseased blood vessels, nerves and tissues are removed from the interior of the tooth. The interior will then be cleaned and disinfected, before filling it with medicated material to prevent infection. This helps prevent the spread of infection and prevent the need for an extraction. In general, root canal treated posterior teeth are recommended to be crowned to maintain the longevity of the tooth.

Dental Implants

Dental implant is a small titanium screw that functions like a natural tooth root. They are used to replace the loss of a tooth. It is surgically placed into the jaw bone, which then bonds with the natural jaw bond to serve as an anchor for a tooth (crown) placement.

Dentures

When either multiple teeth or all teeth are gone due to disease, dentures can be fabricated to help restore chewing function. They are removable for ease of cleaning. Complete dentures utilize anatomy of the oral cavity such as hard palate for the upper or tongue muscles for the bottom to help with retention. Partial dentures hook onto existing natural teeth for retention.
